A cracking example of a World War Two Royal Air Force Heavy Brass Model in the shape of a Supermarine Spitfire.

Designed by RJ Mitchell and with its maiden flight from Eastleigh Airport  in March 1936, it was to become the star act in the Battle of Britain, alongside the Hurricane

Between 1937 & 1947 some 20,000 Spits would be built over 24 differing Marks including the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm Version
